Data, the best character in the series...He plays a great android,
with no feelings, just chips, quite an easy role, but he still
plays it very well....

Right under him in the chain of command is William Riker, "number one"
Riker must really like the Entreprise, because he has already refused some
great promotions......
But let's not forget 'Q'
'Q' is a character from the 'Q-continuum', another dimension of being.
Q acts as a judge on the entire Human race, to test if they are worth
excistance. For these tests he always uses the Entreprise, the ship
of Jean-Luc Picard, and he always gets them into trouble, just up to
the end, when he usually saves the day with a bit of luck...
But Q isn't the Enterprise's worst enemy.
